I disagree. On the contrary, it is very good business to provide an excellent product and services with benefits that carry on way past the moment of acquisition.
At one of my recent classes I had several students tell me that they had never thought of those kinds of benefits before when getting this kind of training. They more or less said that this was the reason that they decided to choose an instructor with a law enforcement back ground.
I posted the Associational statement not to run down other instructors, but to promote a special breed of instructors. Instructors like myself and my friends and associates, Mr. Graves, Mr. Barclay, Mr. Hughes, and others who have not only special skills and knowledge to make you a better marksman and a better guardian of you and your family, but who really really care about promoting and providing the BEST training possible. Instructors who are willing to go the extra mile for you down the road should you find yourself at the defense table.
You see, while it may be a full time business for some instructors, it is not for me. I also keep up with the laws because I am required to do so. I am also a firm believer in the Constitution and the 2nd Amendment. Outside of my Lord and my family I have two passions. One is the preservation of our rights (I am also proud to say I am an Oath Keeper: http://oathkeepers.org) and the other is teaching concealed carry whenever and to whoever I can. No, it is not a full time business for me...it is a full time passion!
For this reason, starting February 1st, I am lowering the Basic Class rate to $65.00 for all classes held in southeast Missouri.
It's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6 but the objective is to avoid both extremes!
